Spring 2015 Registration AA Holds for “Incoming” Freshmen

New freshmen who started in the Summer 2014 and Fall 2014 semesters will have an Academic Advising (AA) hold on their account near mid-terms, which will prevent them from registering for Spring 2015 classes.

Remember to plan ahead and make advising appointments or attend walk-ins early, as advising time slots will fill up very quickly and it is the student’s responsibility to ensure they see an advisor before their registration date. Though you can attend walk-ins any day, the Chemistry Advisors will be offering walk-in advising for AA Holds only on specific days. Please see our walk in calendar for times to come and meet with an Advisor for a 15 minute appointment during walk ins.

To be eligible for AA Group Advising session:

  1. 1. All posted midterm grades must be a “C” or better. If you have any midterm grades of “C-“ or lower you will need to attend a full 30 minute appointment or a one-on-one walk-in session.

If you have questions before or after your advising appointment, please refer to our Summer and Fall 2014 AA Hold Advising Presentation to help answer any questions you may have. Additionally, you may attend a walk-in appointment to help answer more in depth questions or you may e-mail us at for quick questions, please make sure to include your full name, U# and major.

Walk-ins are offered on a first come, first served basis and check-in will be at SCA 203. Please keep in mind that during peak advising times (the weeks before registration and the first week of classes) walk-ins tend to fill up quickly.

After your advising meeting:

  • Please take a few minutes to fill out our Advising Survey, and let us know how we're doing!

Please check the calendar for our walk-in dates

If you are unsure how to use OASIS to register for classes, please watch the Online Tutorial.
