Requirements to be eligible for Chemistry Peer Leading

General Chemistry 1

Applicants must be current USF students who have done well (received a grade of B or better) in the General Chemistry I (CHM 2045) and General Chemistry II (CHM 2046) courses.

Wednesdays from 5:00 PM-7:45 PM or Thursdays 5:00 PM to 7:45 PM. Schedule conflicts may be addressed on an individual basis.

In addition to the class time on Thursday, each peer leader will be responsible for facilitating two sections (50 minutes each) of CHM 2045 small group discussions every Friday. This means that you will also need to be available on Fridays only during the 50 minute sections to which you are assigned, not the entire span of 8:00 a.m. – 1:20 p.m. on Fridays. You will have the opportunity to provide preferences for the Friday sections you wish to facilitate within the Peer Leading Interest form. The sections times are 8-8:50, 9:30-10:20, 11-11:50. 12:30-1:20.

General Chemistry 2

Applicants must be current USF students who have done well (received a grade of B or better) in the General Chemistry I (CHM 2045) and General Chemistry II (CHM 2046) courses.

Applicants must be available Tuesdays from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 12:15 PM.
