Christina provides administrative and academic support for department faculty and staff, academic advisors, and undergraduate and graduate students in order to strive to create an atmosphere that encourages student success and scholarly pursuits. Her specific responsibilities include:

Undergraduate Program & Academic Support Services

  • Oversee the development of Departmental Undergraduate Programs and student services
  • Act as a liaison between Students with Disability Services and Faculty/Students
  • Work with Lead Academic Advisor to ensure proper training and communication among the Department of Chemistry advising team
  • Serve as a point of contact to current and prospective students and faculty on matters related to course management and enrollment, program requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Assist undergraduates with issues that may occur during registration and semester coursework
  • Provide administrative support for Faculty coordinating Peer Leading Program
  • Coordinate the submission and development process for new course offerings, programs, and revisions as well as the review and update of the undergraduate catalog
  • Reconcile issues pertaining to CAS Academic Regulations Committee petitions between advising, faculty, and students
  • Act as a liaison between students and Department Chair regarding any student issues or concerns, including formal student grievances
  • Assist with data collection and assessment for various accreditation reports
  • Monitor pre-requisite and course logistics

Graduate Student Affairs

  • Coordination of graduate student semester requests for teaching or research assistantship
  • Manage Teaching Assistant course assignments, as liaison between faculty and graduate students requests
  • Assist faculty supervisors with monitoring of TA performance
  • Work with Graduate Program Assistant to monitor graduate student compliance
  • Assist graduate students with issues or concerns during their program

Faculty Affairs

  • Coordination of Faculty course assignments for each semester
  • Assist faculty with administrative component of curriculum development, including submission and representation at university committees
  • Coordinate annual reporting process and AFD-FAR workload submission for the department
  • Assist with tenure and mid-tenure administrative compilation
  • Compile Faculty Workload Documents and assist faculty with Annual Reports
