M.A. in College Student Personnel, Eastern Michigan University, 2000

Ms. Cahu De Lima graduated from Eastern Michigan University in August of 2000 with a Master of Arts degree in College Student Personnel with an emphasis in Counseling. She completed her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University in 1997 with a major in Family and Community Services.

Her background is with the University of Florida, where she advised for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for six years before coming to the University of South Florida in 2006. Prior to her arrival at USF, Melissa spent close to a year travelling in Brazil and learning the culture and Portuguese language of this beautiful country. Melissa returned to USF in 2008 to work with the College of Arts and Sciences as a Chemistry and prehealth professions advisor.

In addition to academic advising for students majoring in the department of Chemistry, Melissa is responsible for coordinating activities and programs for students who are experiencing academic difficulty.
